Testing for:

– full thorax expansion abilities

Goal:

140+ degrees

Results:

0-90 degrees: Severe posterior lower compression (below scaps)

120-180 degrees: Compression of uppermost thorax

How to take the test:

2) Flex the elbow on the tested side to 90 degrees and keep it flexed for the duration of the test

3) Slowly lift the arm backwards in a straight line

4) Move until the movement feels light, easy and smooth

5) Stop when any of the following applies:
– back moves the slightest
– the body begins to roll
– the elbow begins to deviate
– the head comes forward

6) Measure the angle between the starting and end positions
